Emmalee’s journey

Emmalee Anita Diaz is a small-town girl with an array of talents and experiences. Born and raised in Del Rio, Texas (a small border town), she started her journey with local theatre and dance but yearned to broaden her horizons. She absorbed years of dance training through a local studio and community theatre but embraced the challenge to do more. Described as a triple threat, Emmalee has the ability to express the story of her character through song, dance, and performance.

Through extensive training at Manhattanville University, Emmalee has the superb ability to portray a wide variety of characters, yet always engaging and capturing the heart of her audience with the help of her multifaceted vocal ability.

Her theatre experience with The College Light Opera Company allowed her to further develop as a performer in a professional setting. Playing roles such as Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly!, Zaneeta Shinn in The Music Man, Jean MacLaren in Brigadoon, and ultimately… the peak of her career thus far… Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. Emmalee has had the privilege of learning to embrace the journey and have confidence throughout. As a wise blonde woman once said… Being true to yourself never goes out of style!
